MFA + Haiku and Canto Set Up Steps

Multi-Factor Authentication Steps

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required to login to Haiku or Canto if you are accessing the apps from outside the Hospital Network.

1. Download the Epic Authenticator app


  • For iOS users: On your device, tap  to open the App Store and search for "Epic Authenticator." Next to the Authenticator app in the search results, tap  and then tap . When prompted, enter the password for your Apple ID.
  • For Android users: On your device, tap  to open the Google Play store and search the Apps section for "Epic Authenticator." In the search results, tap  and install the Authenticator for Android app.
                                                          

2. From your computer, open Hyperspace and search for the Two Factor Authentication Enrollment activity in the top search bar.



3. Open your Epic Authenticator app and scan the QR code presented in Hyperspace. Follow the guided steps in Hyperspace until authentication is complete.

4. Log in to Haiku, and when prompted for a one-time passcode, enter the code displayed in your Epic Authenticator app.


Haiku and Canto Setup Steps

Follow the directions below to download the mobile apps and to connect them to the SCRMC instance of Epic.

1. Download Haiku


    • For iOS users: On your device, tap  to open the App Store and search for "Epic Haiku." Next to the Epic Haiku app in the search results, tap  and then tap . When prompted, enter the password for your Apple ID.
    • For Android users: On your device, tap  to open the Google Play store and search the Apps section for "Epic Haiku." In the search results, tap  and install Haiku for Android app.
2. Use your phone or tablet camera to scan the QR code. If you cannot scan the QR code, enter the URL below in your device’s internet browser


                                             

3. Haiku (Phone): Click the link for Haiku Production Environments on your mobile device.
4. Canto (iPad): Click the link for Canto Production Environments on your iPad.
5. Enter your user ID and password in the login fields. Tap the label at the top of the login screen to connect to a different organization or instance.
