If your Cerner freezes, it usually can be solved very quickly and easily without any outside assistance needed by following these steps:

1) Typically when Cerner is frozen, only Cerner is frozen. Because of this you can click on the Microsoft Edge icon on your taskbar, and select the tab that has your Cerner Application Portal. You may have to sign back in before you can access the Portal.

2) Then, on your Cerner Application Portal, select Cerner Session Cleanup. It is typically towards the top of your Portal.

3) Once you select the Cleanup and it launches, you will see a small box that has a “Submit” button. Filling out the rest of the information is not necessary. Simply click on Submit and a green progress bar will begin filling. This may take a couple of minutes.

4) Once you see the following pop-up, your session has been successfully cleaned, and you can re-launch Cerner.
