Adding Favorites to Your Web Browser Permanently

You may have experienced an issue before where no matter how many times you add a favorite to your web browser, it just disappears the next time you sign in.

This is unfortunately due to how our virtual environment works. The good news is there is a simple workaround that will make your shortcuts stick forever. It involves two simple steps that you can complete in a few seconds.


Step 1: Adding Your Favorites to Internet Explorer


  1. Go to the "Windows Icon" on your taskbar. In the search box, type "iexplore" and select the program that appears.
  2. Navigate to the site you want to favorite. For the example video, we simply used the SCRMC Homepage.
  3. Click on the Star Icon, and then "Add to Favorites".
  4. Repeat for any other sites you need to favorite.

Now your site is added to the Internet Explorer Favorites list!

We use Microsoft Edge at SCRMC, so we need to move on to -


Step 2: Importing your favorites to Microsoft Edge

  1. Open up Microsoft Edge on your computer.
  2. Navigate to the settings menu.
  3. Select "More Options"
  4. Select "Import Favorites"
  5. Select "Import" and then "Import" again.

Congratulations! You now have permanent favorites!
